Kannawidan: The Festival of Ilocos Sur
Kannawidan is one of the best festivals here in
Philippines.
Kannawidan is a festivity which the City of Vigan
celebrates every year. In this festival, the Ilocano people showcase cultural
shows, native products and the talents of the all the Ilocanos. Kannawidan
Ylocos Festival became an annual festival that aims to create awareness on the
preservation of the province' rich cultural heritage, practices and traditions.
Kannawidan is the best place to enjoy nature’s gifts;
it is the best place to create a coalescing community. Kannawidan is a place
for showcasing talents, brains, beauties, and the creative hospitality that we,
Filipinos, especially Ilocanos, have.
Kannawidan is a place for
showcasing products like furniture, crafts, cuisines, the province’s OTOP, and
products coming from external towns and/or provinces. Kannawidan is an activity
that unites dealers/merchants to one place and creates a market of beauty,
food, and creativity.
In this festival, Ilocanos try to do their best in
showing the true spirit of an Ilocano.
Kannawidan will be start on January 29, 2015. Come
